Overview:
The entire TV fraternity and many from the film industry will be present at this event — India Ne Bana Di Jodi Award — that will be aired at 8 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
Over the past week, India voted for its favourite jodis, divided in nine categories, ranging from favorite couples, saas-bahus, vamp-villains, comedians, devrani-jethanis to anchors and judge ki jodis. With three nominees in each category and couples like Jay Soni and Ragini Khanna, Barun Sobti and Ankita Sharma, Anita Kanwar and Suchitra Pilgaonkar, Aashka Goradia and Sumit, Sudesh Berry and Sachal Tyagi competing for their respective categories, the competition promises to be quite fierce.
Anchored by Mukti and Kapil, the event will also have sizzling performances by actors. Evergreen dancing couples like Shaleen and Daljeet, Hard Kaur and Savio, Yash Tonk and Gauri will be seen shaking a leg. Some rib-tickling skits by saas-bahu jodis like Lata Seth and Pooja Joshi, Anita and Supriya Pilgaonkar, Savita Prabhune and Swati Anand and mythological acts by yesteryears’ favourite jodis including Rajashree Thakkar and Sharad Kelkar, Gauri Pradhan and Hiten Tejwani and Mona Singh-Apoorva Agnihotri complete the show. A stunning performance by the Indian Idol 5 winner Shreeram and a rollicking act by TV’s little darling Saloni are also part of the grand event.

The 11th IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards presentation ceremony was held at Sughathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo, a capital city of Sri Lanka. The Micromax IIFA 2010 awards event was hosted by Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani. The movie 3 Idiots was the big winner of IIFA Awards night. Other big thing was that a tie between Kareena Kapoor (3 Idiots) and Vidya Balan (Paa) for the Best Actress Award trophy.
International Indian Film Academy jury was decided to give honor to Zeenat Aman for her Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema When J. Om Prakash for his Outstanding Contribution to Indian film. Anil Kapoor was presented with the Award for Outstanding Achievement by an Indian in International Cinema When The Green Globe Crusader of the Year presented an Award to Vivek Oberoi for his contribution towards the environment.
2010 IIFA Award night was a glamorous event where some heartthrob performances given by the biggest Bollywood stars and actress. The award ceremony opened with performance of Jacqueline Fernandez. The 3rd BOROPLUS GOLD AWARDS, Indian Television’s the biggest awards ceremony hosted by White Leaf Entertainment Media Pvt. Ltd. was held on Saturday night, 19th June 2010 at Film City. This year the celebrations took place in Mumbai – The city of dreams, after our grand and successful debut in Mauritius, followed by a rich extravaganza at Dubai. Global Indian Music Awards 2010 (GIMA) is the first award function organized in India totally dedicated to music industry, which had its inaugural edition yesterday on November 10. It was a huge reunion of lots of legendary singers, musicians, lyricists and definitely the Bollywood stars.
3 idiots add another feather to its cap by grabbing 5 awards in the first Chevrolet Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA). Adding to a series of awards to the already long list 3 Idiots again did its makers proud. The GIMA event was graced with grand personalities like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhoshle, Kareena and Salman. It was a huge event and 3 idiots shone like a star.
Bollywood’s singing legend Lata Mangeshkar was presented with the lifetime achievement award at the Chevrolet Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) By her sister Asha Bhosle.
Among all the shining stars, Dabangg star Salman Khan was one of the biggest attractions, who performed from his blockbuster film and thousands cheered for him.
This GIMA award 2010 ceremony is an attempt to appreciate the works of people both from the flim and the non film background. The song Iktara from the film “Wake up Sid” also got 3 awards for best singer and other category. Lata Mangeshkar was facilitated with the best devotional trophy and this was one of the main high points of the award. She commented “I’m very grateful to people for giving me this award. This is my first non-film award ever. I never got an award in this category earlier, so this is truly special.”

Bollywood’s most famous personalities Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Karan Johar, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani were presented in the BIG Star Entertainment Awards. At the Big Star Entertainment awards, Salman Khan’s blockbuster movie “Dabangg” won five awards from 7 nominees. It won the awards for the best director, best film, best actor, best entertaining song (“Munni badnaam hui”) and best male singer ‘Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’ for the song “Mast mast do nain”.

BIG Star Entertainment Awards function was hosted by Aarshad Warsi and Shreys Talpade, who entertain the audiences till the end with their jock and very funny gags. Real life action hero, Akshay kumar and Rani mukherjee gave their separate performance on the stage of BIG Star Entertainment Awards. Other television personalities, The Prince Dance Group and Rashmi Desai and Nandish Sandhi (Uttaran) gave their dance performance to entertain the audiences.
According to the Sanjay Gupta, chief operating officer, STAR India, “Today, almost 50 per cent of TV viewing happens in the entertainment space and December 31 night is a time when television viewing actually increases manifold because people are willing to sit together and watch TV. Therefore, we are sure that the property will pull in good eyeballs.”

Overview
The stage is set and the cameras rolling! Presenting a lighter side to the event, Ali Asgar, Urvashi Dholakia, Vineet Raina, VIP amongst others, will highlight issues faced by the nation with hilarious spoofs on stage!

Overview
Alif Laila (Thousand Nights) is a TV series based on the stories from The Arabian Nights. It was produced by Sagar Films (Pvt. Ltd.). It was made in two seasons. The first season was aired on DD National and the second SAB TV. Later, it was also aired on ARY Digital. The series became very popular. The dialogue is in Urdu. It proved to be a great success and achievement for its producers and broadcasters. Much of the credit of its success goes to Ramanand Sagar. This was one of his greatest works. Shah Nawaz one of the lead actors played different roles in the series.
The Series starts right from the very beginning when Scheherazade starts telling stories to Shahryar. Alif Laila contains both the well-known and the lesser-known stories from The Arabian Nights of which some are mentioned here.

The
1001 stories in 1001 nights are told in the most exiting, enthralling and romantic way.
But, there are many more stories beyond Aladdin and his magic lamp, Alibaba and 40 thieves, Sinbad and his sailing saga in the wonderful treasure of stories that haven?t come to public eye.
The yet to be told stories from the Arabian Nights with great morals, laced with flying carpets, magic lamps and amazing fairies.
In those days Kings used to disguise and go out of their palace in order to see and get to know his subjects. Like that when our Alif Laila king went out, he meets a beggar who beg for money but won’t take the money before being beaten. The king asks him why and asks him to come to his palace and tell the reason.
The Beggar comes and tells that he is born to a rich and lovable family and how he ditches them by gambling all his money. He even steals 4 camel which carried treasure from a wise man who ask his for favor so that he can build a well in a desert.
One day beggar meets a Jin who gives a eye kajal, if he applies in one eye he can see treasures buried underground. The beggar puts the eye kajal in both his eyes and becomes blind. At end he realizes his sin and promises himself that he will be beaten before having his meal.
Then our King journey continues when he sees another young prince beating his horse. The king ask him same thing and here goes our second story starts.
The prince was in love with a princess named Abida but he falls in hands of a beautiful witch who comes in revenge of Abida and her father. The witch marries the prince and kills his mom, dad, sis and tries to kill his bro and put blame in Abida.
Abida proves that they are not guilty and changes the witch to a horse and prince decides to beat the horse for 11 yrs and after that the witch burns and dies off.
Today also the KING has left his palace in search of new story. So, be ready with your magic carpet to experience Journey into Magical World.

The serial has been produced and directed by Akbar Khan, a well established motion picture producer, director and leading film actor. The first fifteen episodes of the TV Serial “The Sword of Tipu Sultan” directed by him, have already received worldwide praise.
Although the scenario – script of the serial has been developed and written by our team of eminent writers, all events and happening that appears in the episodes have been drawn from various historical books and therefore are authentic
Looking at the vastness of this historical subject and with the mind to obtain top quality of the works, the serial is produced on a top scale budget.
To recreate the magical splendour of the Mughal Era. A team of 200 skilled professional comprising art directors, masons, carpenters and moudlers have worked relentlessly for 6 months constructing palaces, townships, gardens and pavallions at Jaipur.
Exotic Designs of costumes and jewellery have been obtained from historical records and museums, to project the authenticity of the period. Replicas of canons, guns, artillery, palanquins, chariots and tents have specially been made.
Thousand of people and animal forces have been used lavishly for war sequences. Priceless antiques have been brought from museums to enrich their magnificent television epic.

The finest talent in Hindi film music was saluted at the second edition of the Airtel Mirchi Music Awards 2009 held last night with Radio Mirchi announcing the winners.
Delhi 6 won the best song award for Masakali, best album, Mohit Chauhan won the best male vocalist for Masakali, Rekha Bhardwaj won the best female vocalist for Genda Phool. AR Rahman won the best music director award for Masakali Delhi 6 while Prasoon Joshi won lyricist of the year for Masakali. Rahman also won the best song arranger and programmer for Masakali. H Sridhar, S Sivakumar, Deepak P A and Vivianne Chaix got the best song mixing and engineering for Delhi 6.
The Airtel Mirchi Listeners’ choice for best song went to Iktara from Wake Up Sid and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani took the award for Airtel Mirchi Listeners’ choice for best album. The special jury award for exceptional non-film music achievement went to Saeen bina darad kareje haye sung by Rashid Khan. Raju Singh won the best background score award for Raaz- The Mystery Continues.
Gulzar won the lifetime achievement award and the jury award for outstanding contribution to Hindi film music went to Kersi Lord. Manna Dey won the KL Saigal Sangeet Shehenshah Award.
There were performances by singers KK, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rekha Bhardwaj, Himesh Reshamiya and Usha Uthup while Shahid Kapoor and Katrina Kaif performed on the best tracks of the year.
Speaking at the event, Prashant Panday, CEO, ENIL, said, “The integrity and dedication behind Mirchi Music Awards is what makes it unique. The Awards salute the hard work, passion and the immense creative talent of our music industry.”
